Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and JomSnap App (“JomSnap”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating a host account, joining an event as a guest, viewing a paired TV display, or otherwise using JomSnap in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use JomSnap.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

Using JomSnap in any capacity — registering as a host, joining an event as a guest, capturing or viewing content, or viewing a paired TV display — means you accept these Terms in full. A guest does not need to create an account to be bound by these Terms; joining an event by entering a display name is sufficient.

2. Definitions

• Host — a registered account holder who creates and owns, or is invited to co-host, one or more Events.
• Co-host — a Host invited by an Event’s owner to share moderation and management access to that Event, short of ownership rights such as deletion.
• Guest — a person who joins an Event using a display name, without creating an account, to capture and view Content.
• Event — a single instance of JomSnap’s photo-booth experience created and configured by a Host.
• Content — any photo, message, or other material submitted by a Guest or Host through JomSnap.
• TV Display — an unauthenticated screen paired to an Event via a pairing code, showing a live, Host-controlled display of approved Content.

3. Description of the service

JomSnap recreates the disposable-camera experience for events. Hosts create Events; Guests capture photos and leave guest-book messages through their phone’s browser, with no app to install; Hosts moderate and reveal Content on their own schedule; and a paired TV Display can show a live slideshow, leaderboard, or guest-book wall for everyone in the room.

4. Host accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Email-registered accounts must be verified before full use. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account via Contact us.

5. Guest participation

Guests do not need to register an account to use JomSnap. Joining an Event requires only a display name. Your identity within an Event is tied to your device, not the name you type — re-joining from the same device, even under a different name, always returns to your same photos and messages, while a different device always starts as a new Guest. Hosts set the rules for their own Event, including shot limits, capture cooldowns, and whether Content is auto-approved or held for review.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use JomSnap for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to circumvent or interfere with an Event’s moderation settings, to scrape or systematically extract data from the service, to impersonate another person, or to harass, threaten, or abuse any other user. Our full content standards are set out in our Safety Standards, which form part of these Terms.

7. Content ownership and licence

You keep full ownership and copyright of every photo and message you submit to JomSnap, whether you are a Guest or a Host. Submitting Content to an Event does not transfer, assign, or reduce your copyright in any way — JomSnap and the Event’s Host are never the copyright owner of Guest-submitted Content, only licensees as described below.

Licence to JomSnap

By submitting Content, you grant JomSnap a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process (including moderation and any AI-assisted moderation your Event’s Host has opted into), and display that Content solely to operate the JomSnap service. This licence ends when the Content or the Event is deleted, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention needs.

Licence to the Event’s Host

You also grant the Event’s Host (and any Co-hosts) a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to view, moderate, display Content within the Event’s gallery and TV Display, and download or export it — and, once exported, to use it for their own personal or Event-related purposes, such as compiling a keepsake album, creating a highlight video, or sharing it on their own social media in connection with the Event. This licence does not permit a Host to sell Content, use it in advertising, or otherwise exploit it commercially without the separate consent of everyone identifiable in it, and it does not transfer copyright to the Host.

If you would like your Content removed, ask your Event’s Host directly, use the self-delete option in My Roll where available, or reach us via Contact us.

8. Moderation and content removal rights

Hosts have full discretion to approve, reject, hide, or permanently delete any Content submitted to their own Event. JomSnap may also remove or restrict Content, suspend an Event, or suspend or terminate a Host or Guest’s access at the platform level, where we reasonably believe this is necessary to comply with law, protect other users, or enforce these Terms or our Safety Standards.

9. Subscription plans and billing

JomSnap currently offers a Free plan, and previews Silver and Gold plans on our Pricing page. Only the Free plan is presently open for signup. Detailed billing terms — including the payment provider used, refund and cancellation policy, and proration rules — will be published and incorporated into these Terms before any paid plan becomes available for purchase. Entitlements shown on the Pricing page today are illustrative and subject to change before launch.

10. Suspension and termination

A Host may suspend or delete their own Event at any time from their dashboard, which immediately affects Guest and TV Display access to that Event. JomSnap may suspend or terminate a Host’s account or an Event, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or our Safety Standards, unlawful use, or at the request of a competent authority. Once paid plans are available, non-payment may also result in suspension as described in the billing terms published at that time.

11. Intellectual property

The JomSnap name, logo, and the software and design underlying the service are the property of JomSnap and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use JomSnap’s branding except as necessary to use the service as intended.

12. Disclaimers

JomSnap is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we take reasonable care to protect the Content and data you entrust to us, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service, and we do not guarantee against loss of data, though we maintain reasonable technical safeguards.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of Malaysia, JomSnap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold JomSnap harmless from any claim, loss, or demand arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of JomSnap shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the JomSnap site. Your continued use of JomSnap after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
